Amigo Payroll (the App) is provided by Amigo Softcom (we, us). The App is an attendance and payroll tool used by organizations (your employer) to manage their staff. For most users, your employer decides how your data is used and is its controller; we process it on their behalf to provide the service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect your date of birth, home address, or bank/UPI numbers in the App, and we use no advertising or analytics SDKs.
- Account & contact details: your name, phone number, and (optionally) email address, to create and secure your account.
- Profile photo: an optional avatar you choose from your gallery.
- Attendance check-in data: at check-in and check-out we record the time, your precise device location, and a camera selfie, to verify attendance. Location is collected only at the moment of check-in/out — never in the background.
- Documents you upload: files you choose to submit, such as identity documents (e.g. PAN, Aadhaar), bank documents, offer letters, salary slips, and reimbursement receipts. Some contain sensitive or government-issued identifiers; we collect them only because your employer requires them for HR and payroll, and only when you upload them.
- Reimbursement details: expense amounts, dates, and descriptions you enter when submitting a claim.
- Device info for notifications: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token, your platform, and app version, to deliver shift reminders and updates.
- Activity in the App: attendance, leave requests, and reimbursement claims you create.
2. How we use your information
To authenticate you; record and verify attendance; process leave and reimbursement requests; display your payslips and tax details; send you notifications; and provide attendance and payroll services to your employer. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. How information is shared
We share data only with service providers who help us run the App, under contract and only as needed:
- Hosting: DigitalOcean, where your organization's data is stored.
- SMS one-time passwords: Twilio, to send login OTPs to your phone.
- Push notifications: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Your employer: the organization you belong to can access the data you submit (attendance, documents, claims, etc.).
4. Data security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We apply access controls so that only your employer's authorized administrators can view your records.
5. Data retention & deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as your employer requires for payroll and HR records and to meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — we action requests within 30 days. Some records may be retained where required by law even after a deletion request.

The App is intended for working adults and is not directed at children under 18.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us using the details below; for records held by your employer we will direct your request to them where appropriate.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date above.
